The Chugach State Park encompasses nearly half a million acres, and lies at Anchorage's back door - literally! No trip to Alaska can be complete without getting off the roadway and exploring Alaska with all of your senses. Choose from one of our many guided day-hike options, we have something for everyone, and transportation is included!
Get your heart rate up and soak in the views on an Alpine Classic Trek or a Full Day Hiking Adventure. Seek Alaska's native wildlife, smell the wildflowers, learn about (and taste!) native edible plants on our Flora & Fauna Nature Walk. Hear the thunder of a waterfall, walk along part of the Historic Iditarod Trail, and listen to songbirds on a Summer Valley & Forest Hike. You can even take a helicopter above Knik Glacier and trek the alpine!
